How does IBD define a growth strategy?

A growth strategy as a roadmap for navigating market changes and demands to create and maintain a   competitive advantage.

How long does IBD last?

IBD offers 12 to 24 months of continuous nonprofit and small business growth training.

What will I learn?

Participating organizations learn how to select, develop and implement a growth strategy.

​

What resources will I receive?

Organizations participate in in-person and virtual learning labs, one-on-one coaching and other education and training workshops.

​

What is my responsibility?

We ask that you commit to at least 12 months of training to incubate and implement your growth strategy. 

 

What type of organizations can join the IBD?

Small minority-led nonprofits and small minority-owned businesses.  These organizations are on the front lines of solving social, economic and workforce challenges.  Too often they do not have the resource to participate in long-term business development training but understand its value.

When will the next cohort open?

Right now the current cohort ends June 27, 2024.  We encourage all interested organizations to sign up for the wait list as planning will begin in June for the fall 2024 cohort.  Scroll down to sign up.

Who funds Impact-By-Design Incubator (IBD)

IBD is supported under contract with the County of San Diego, the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) and Live Well San Diego.
